The BCD has taken a great design and made it even more desirable. The Oceanic Explorer 2 BCD still offers an outstanding range of motion for the diver because the BCD bladder is of the back-mount design. This means that there is that no part of the air bladder extends to the front of the BCD. You're uncluttered, unencumbered and looking good. The Oceanic Excursion 2 BCD is tough enough for both recreational as well as technical diver scenarios. You will be surprised and pleased at how comfortable the BCD feels when you are wearing it. The Oceanic Excursion 2 BCD uses patented Bioflex material for the bladder that allows the material to expand more than BCDs using conventional bladder materials. This means less material is needed for the bladder. The small, medium and large sizes offer up to 50 pounds of lift while the extra large size offers 58 pounds of lift. The reinforced harness has contoured shoulders with a three position sternum strap. The harness backpack is is padded and offers fantastic lumbar support. The Oceanic Excursion 2 BCD has pre-bent, welded stainless steel d-rings which make the Excursion 2 BCD very tech diver friendly. The QLR3 weight pockets can accommodate up to 20 pounds of weight with 2 additional trim pockets able to hold 5 additional pounds each. As far as traveling with the BCD, no problem, the size large weighs in at a mere 9 pounds which is 20 percent less than the original Excursion. The Oceanic Excursion 2 BCD features a patented BioFlex rear inflation bladder which provides maximum lift and minimum drag when deflated as well as reinforced contoured shoulders and padded back pack with lumbar support. Equipped with the QLR Integrated Weight System, the Oceanic Excursion 2 BCD can accommodate up to 32 lbs and also sports dual 5 lbs rear weight pouches for improved in-water positioning. The rolled neoprene neck collar on the Oceanic Excursion 2 BCD provides ultimate comfort. It also has the ability to have the Oceanic Spinner knife (not included) mounted on the left or right side and even has an integrated retractor mount, though not included.
