Recreational Traditional meets Technical with the Oceanic Probe LX BCD. The union of these two scuba genres makes the Oceanic Probe LX very adaptable in both worlds.
The Oceanic Probe LX is a jacket style with a high lift capacity that utilizes Oceanic's patented Bioflex material that actually allows the material to stretch as it is inflated without compromising the bladder's integrity. The QLR integrated weight system is easy to load and can accommodate up to twenty pounds of weight (weight not included) with two non-dumpable back weight pockets that can hold a combined total of ten additional pounds. The four pocket design on the Oceanic Probe LX BCD allows for better weight distribution. The 1600 Nylon Denier fabric used in is fade-less which adds to the durability of the BCD. Seven stainless steel D-rings along with extra roomy zip closure pockets accommodate the most discerning of Tech Diver while appealing quite well to the recreational diver. If that's not enough for you there are two additional zip closure accessory pockets as well.
The Oceanic Probe LX is teamed up up with the Oceanic state-of-the-art GT3 regulator with the SP5 first stage. The second stage also includes a user friendly adjustment that provides the diver with the inhalation that you select which will stay consistent throughout your entire dive. The Alpha 8 Octopus (alternate air source) by Oceanic is a classic style that never seems to go out of style.
The uncomplicated Oceanic Veo 1.0 computer combo console is extremely user friendly all the way down the user replaceable battery. With a 12 dive recall log book feature you won't have to scramble to fill out your log book. This Oceanic Veo 1.0 computer is excellent as a entry level computer that shows the basic information needed with visual alarms and easy to read graphic and numeric displays. The combo console also features the Oceanic submersible analog pressure gauge with the Ocean glo luminescent face and easy to read numerics. The console also provides a location to add an optional compass inthe future.

The Probe HLC Jacket Style BCD is made with Patented BioiFlex material- a "living fabric" that stretches, flexes and conforms to your body. BioFlex is an extraordinary fabric, which stretches, fully inflated up to 30% over conventional nylon or polyurethane BC materials. The idea being that if a material could stretch while remaining airtight, you could make smaller air cells, creating less bulk and drag underwater while achieving high volumes of lift when required. BioFlex eliminates chest squeeze, conforms to the diver's body and provides a slim, body hugging profile.
Oceanic BCD QLR3 Integrated Weight System and More...
The BC comes equipped with Oceanic's QLR3 Integrated Weight System that accommodates up to 20 lbs (9 kg), plus dual 5 lbs (2.3 kg) trim weight pouches which add stability while you dive. Rear trim weight pockets are located on the back of the BC on either side of the tank cradle and provides greater integrated weight capacity and better attitude underwater. Carries up to 10 pounds non-dumpable.
Alpha 8 - Best Price / Performance Ratio in its Class
Not only is the Alpha 8 an economical buy for the diver on a budget, it is just as inexpensive to maintain. Standard replacement parts can cost as little as half of those in other regulators in its class.
SP5 Sport Piston First Stage on the Alpha 8
The SP-5 offers all divers the opportunity to own a top-performing regulator at an unbeatable price. Repeatedly rated as the best in its class, the Alpha SP-5 exceeds both Navy Class A and European CE standards. The Alpha SP-5 may have been the first regulator you ever used due to its widespread use in rental and resort operations.
Nitrox Compatibility on the Alpha 8 Reg
The regs are classified as being suitable for use with nitrox breathing gas mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen by volume without the need for special preparation, cleaning or component parts.
Dual Algorithm Technology on the Veo 1.0
Choose the one dive computer that’s liberal, conservative or middle-of-the-road. Dual Algorithm™ technology lets you choose the decompression algorithm that best suits your diving needs without compromising safety.
Automatic Altitude Compensation
Selected Personal Dive Computers automatically compensate for altitude dives up to 14,000 feet, giving adjusted no-decompression times and depths. Our Dive Computers even automatically recalibrates the depth displays for freshwater instead of seawater above 2,000 feet.
