THE OCEANIC Veo 1.0 DIVE COMPUTER, SETTING MODE - VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
The Oceanic VEO 1.0 dive computer has a simple settings menu that is controlled with its button. The button has two states - a simple push for less than two seconds, let's call this Press, and push and hold for two or more seconds, let's call this Hold.
To access the main menu of the Oceanic VEO 1.0 dive computer, you must be at the surface. The main menu has several sub-menus. You can navigate the main menu simply by holding the button. Every time you hold the button, you move to the next sub-menu in the list. Then to enter a sub-menu and adjust its content, you press the button.
Once you are inside a sub-menu, you hold the button to save the value, exit the sub-menu and move to the next sub-menu in the list. When you reach the end of the sub-menu list, hold the button and the Oceanic VEO 1.0 dive computer will return to the main surface screen.
To enter the Settings mode of the Oceanic VEO 1.0 while at the surface, hold the button until you see the first screen with the graphics set written on the top row. Once you are in Settings mode, if the button is not pressed within a two-minute period, the Oceanic VEO 1.0 will revert to surface mode.
Let's look at the first setting, Set FO2. After activation the Oceanic VEO 1.0 will operate as an air computer unless it is set for a percentage of oxygen other than air. Once a dive is made with a Oceanic VEO 1.0 set for Nitrox, it cannot be programmed to operate as an air computer for 24 hours after the last dive.
You can use the sub-menu to program the fraction of oxygen in your tank in the 21% to 50% range. When FO2 is set for air, O2 data and MOD will not be displayed. To change the FO2 value, press the button until you see the desired value on the screen. Let's set it to 32%.
When FO2 is set for a numerical value, the dive is considered Nitrox and the NX icon will be displayed. This screen contains the following information: max depth allowed for the PO2 alarm set, NX icon, PO2 alarm value set with PO2 and Max icons, flashing numeric FO2 set point value if Nitrox, and the FO2 icon.
Hold the button to save the value and move to the Set FO2 50% sub-menu.
